Gozo stays

Gozo stays with warmth, character, and a real feel for the island.

Ta Gourgion brings together family-run stays in Gozo, with much of the house line centred in Qala. What matters here is not just where you sleep, but how the island is felt: through limestone rooms, private outdoor space, village life, coastal walks, early light, and the sea never too far away.

  • The house is centred in Qala and shaped around everyday Gozo living
  • Close to sunrise walks, swimming spots, beaches, and quieter parts of the island
  • Stays designed around light, outdoor space, and a slower sense of time

Heritage

The house is part of a longer family history in Gozo.

Ta Gourgion comes out of a longer family history in Gozo shaped by hospitality, work, and island life. Local memory connects the family to the care of the Gourgion Tower. Other branches were rooted in farming, bull rearing, and animal trade, while the family also has a long connection to the sea. In the post-war years, the family's great-grandmother ran a fish shop in Mġarr serving fishermen and harbour life. That background still informs how the house receives people.

Guest reviews

Guests tend to describe the stay in recognisable ways.

The same words return: ease, warmth, privacy, character, and a stronger sense of place than a more standard stay usually gives.
